Pinnacle Point Playtest Walkthrough

1. Shipwrecked

  • Aron crawls out of the sea, soaked and freezing.
  • You’re on a beach in the dark. The wind howls.
  • Pick up the flashlight and a healthpack nearby.
  • Open your inventory with Triangle / Tab.
    • You can use medpacks directly from the inventory.

2. Find Shelter

  • Follow the path inland.
    • You reach a cliffside outlook, but the wind is too strong to climb without protection.
  • Continue exploring.
  • Find the old campsite where Pinnacle Point’s researchers once stayed.

3. Orientation Hut

  • Enter the first hut (Orientation Office).
  • Find:
    • Warm clothes (needed to climb the outlook).
    • Red keycard.
  • Head to the gate toward the labs and mess hall.
    • Keycard fits, but there’s no power yet.

4. The Outlook & Resonator

  • Now that you’re dressed, return to the outlook.
  • Climb up.
  • A cutscene plays:
    A figure stands at the dock and summons a blue underwater entity.
  • Nearby, you find the Resonator.
    • Equip it with RB / R1 / Space.
  • Picking it up triggers the first monsters.
    • You cannot fight yetrun and hold LB / L1 / Shift to sprint.

5. The Old Man

  • Escape back toward the campsite.
  • There’s now power, and an old man is waving at you.
  • Approach him and let the cutscene play out
  • Talk to him:
    • He gives backstory.
    • He gives you your gun.
  • After the cutscene:
    • Grab ammo from the hay bale.
    • Grab the gas can (Jerry Can).

6. First Combat & Train Track

  • Monsters are shielded.
  • Use the Resonator (RB / R1 / Space) to burn their shields, exposing them to bullets.
  • Fight through them toward the train tracks.
  • Use the gas can on the debris.
    • Ignite it with your lighter.
  • A cutscene plays.

7. The Warehouse

  • Climb uphill, fighting off enemies, until you spot the warehouse in the distance.
  • Fight your way to it.
  • Near the entrance, inspect a CIA agent’s body.
    • Pick up the note with the hack printout.
    • It shows the code he tried to use — but the monsters got him before he succeeded.
  • Behind the buildings, find the yellow jeep.
    • Open the toolbox to get the missing fuse.

8. Backtrack and Restore Power

  • Backtrack to the campsite, fighting monsters along the way.
  • Insert the fuse into the open slot in the fusebox.
  • Set the dials to 600 volts:
    • Button configuration is: 0 – 0 – 1 – 1
  • Insert the red keycard.
  • You now have access to the Mess Hall and Lodgings.

9. Mess Hall & Final Code

  • Explore the Mess Hall.
  • In the kitchen, find a document.
    • It reveals that the researchers shifted the hatch code one digit to the right.
    • Example: 284197 becomes 728419

10. Boss Fight

  • Exit the Mess Hall — the boss appears.
  • It has multiple eyes.
    • Shoot each eye six times.
  • Minions spawn during the fight.
    • Don’t ignore them — take them out to avoid being overwhelmed.
  • Loot the area:
    • Ammo scattered around.
    • A medkit is inside a light pole box.

11. Enter the Hatch

  • Return to the hatch near the outlook.
  • Enter the corrected access code:
    • Original code: 284197
    • Apply the 1-digit right shift: 728419
  • Confirm the input — the hatch opens.
  • Final cutscene plays.
